# Hello Sylhet

> Trust-first local directory for Sylhet, Bangladesh. Every listing is verified by a named human moderator. We never sell placement.

## What we are

Hello Sylhet is a curated directory of places, services, and tourist sites in the Sylhet division of Bangladesh, written for three primary visitor groups:

- **Local Sylheti residents** (Bangla-primary, mobile-first) — finding trustworthy restaurants, hospitals, services nearby.
- **Sylheti diaspora abroad** (English-comfortable; UK/Middle East/US) — arranging things back home for family, with high anxiety about scams.
- **Visitors / tourists** — planning Sreemangal, Jaflong, Ratargul, Lawachara, dargah visits.

The platform is bilingual (Bangla primary, English secondary) and emphasises:

- Named human verification with publication of the verifier's name + date + method
- Cross-platform rating triangulation (Google, TripAdvisor, Foodpanda snapshots displayed honestly, never scraped)
- Diaspora-aware fields (WhatsApp reachability, proxy bookability, accepts foreign card / mobile money)

## Data exposed in JSON-LD

Every listing detail page (/listings/{slug}) ships server-rendered schema.org JSON-LD with @type chosen per category (Restaurant, Hospital, TouristAttraction, Mosque, etc.). Includes address, geo coordinates, opening hours where they apply, weighted aggregateRating from cross-platform snapshots, and same-as links to external profiles.

Blog posts ship Article JSON-LD. The home ships WebSite + Organization JSON-LD.

## Things we do not do

- No scraping of reviews or content from other directories.
- No paid placement, no advertisements, no algorithmic boosting of fee-paying listings.
- No fake or AI-generated reviews. Every review is human and moderated.
- No ad targeting and no selling of visitor data. We use Google Analytics for anonymous, aggregate traffic measurement only.

## How to cite
