Our verification method

“Verified” is not just a badge.

Every Hello Sylhet fact should have a person behind it. We show what we checked, when we checked it, and how.

  1. 1. We confirm it directly

We call to confirm that a place is open, where it is, and when it operates. An online listing or an old review is not evidence for us.

  2. 2. We visit important places

For higher-stakes listings such as hospitals, tourist sites, and religious places, we visit where practical. We record the place, staff information, and relevant evidence.

  3. 3. We publish only what we know

A listing shows the verifier name, date, and method. If information becomes old, we do not hide that. The listing is shown as aging or unverified instead.

Evidence types

One method does not fit every place.

Phone call

Confirming the place is open, its address, and hours.

Site visit

Seeing the location, signage, or service directly.

Document or owner evidence

Reviewing a licence, photo, or owner-provided detail where relevant.

The age of information is information too.

A correct address or timetable six months ago may not be correct today. That is why we show the verification date and freshness status. When a record needs checking again, we do not present it as new.
