Turung Chora is a quiet mountain stream near Turung village in North Ronikhai Union, Companiganj Upazila, Sylhet. Fed by water descending from the Meghalaya hills across the nearby India–Bangladesh border, the area is known for clear flowing water, colourful stones, green hills and a relatively secluded natural setting. The stream takes its name from Turung village itself. The landscape is at its most vibrant during the monsoon, when rainfall increases the flow, although wet rocks and stronger currents require extra caution. Visitors generally reach the area via Dayar Bazar and Chorar Bazar, followed by a walk along rural paths. Turung Chora is particularly suitable for nature sightseeing, photography and a short day-trip adventure. Because it lies close to the international border and in a remote area, visitors should remain on the Bangladesh side and plan their visit during daylight hours.

Lovachora is a remote nature destination in Kanaighat Upazila of Sylhet District, close to Bangladesh’s northeastern border and the foothills of the Khasi–Jaintia hills. The area is known for the Lova River, clear mountain-fed water, rocky riverbanks, green hills, an old tea estate and a historic suspension bridge. According to the local government portal, Lovachora is about 9 km from Kanaighat Upazila headquarters and can be reached by road or river, although the river route is generally easier because much of the local road is unpaved. A 2025 Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha report describes the boat journey from Kanaighat as taking about an hour. The monsoon and post-monsoon period usually brings the most dramatic greenery and river scenery. Visitors should remain on the Bangladesh side of the border, avoid restricted areas and plan to return during daylight.

When traveling by boat on the Piain River, this Lakhonchhora Jharna can be seen on the way to Bichanakandi, after passing Pantumai. This location is a colorful Lakhonchhora in the form of Bichnakandi. The rocky stream path is formed from the spring that originates in India and flows down. The water of Lakhonchhora is very cold. The people of India and our country use this stream's water for their daily needs. There is also a bridge for movement near the Indian border. Under this bridge, many small and large stones have gathered, creating a unique and beautiful stream path. The waterfall that flows under the bridge is very beautiful to see. It is a delightful sight. Tourists often visit to admire the beauty of this rocky path. However, although winter is considered an ideal time for travel, to fully experience the aquatic beauty of Lakhonchhora, one must visit during the monsoon season.

Best in monsoon (June–September) when the forest sits under 20–30 ft of water and locals rent narrow boats that weave between submerged tree trunks. Walkable in the dry season but the magic fades.
