About

The only freshwater swamp forest in Bangladesh — roughly 26 km north of Sylhet city in Goainghat upazila. Best in monsoon (June–September) when the forest sits under 20–30 ft of water and locals rent narrow boats that weave between submerged tree trunks. Walkable in the dry season but the magic fades.
